Docomo Cellphone Equipped with Three-band Radio Tuner
I dont know about the rest of the world, but here in India, the radio is still the most used broadcast device, mostly in traffic :p. The reason would definitely be the fact that you don't have to actually look at it, or stay fixed in a couch till you burrow a hole in it ;)
The juicy parts from the article:
The handset incorporates a dual-front design: one side can be used as a cellphone, and the other side a radio. Highly functional, the radio features easy-to-select channels, a dedicated single-color sub-display (16.7x23.1mm), as well as visible buttons. The user can enjoy i-mode while listening to the radio.
So if you read beneath the PR, you realise that the main advantage of a radio , is that you can do a lot of other things, while listening to it. That it should never disturb your normal routine.
